Inward Heelflip

Inward Heelflip

An Inward Heelflip is like a varial kickflip, but you spin a heelflip. Don’t get confused by the name “Inward” because you don’t spin it inward, you spin it outward (Backside). When you spin it inward (Frontside) its called a varial heel.

Requirements:
• A skateboard
• Ollies
• Heel flip
• Maybe b/s heels

Foot Placement:
The foot placement for an inward heel is very awkward. First, you set your front foot up like a heel flip, but hang your toes off a little bit more that you would for a heel flip. For the back foot you only put about 1/4 of your foot on the board and hang your heel off the back.

 How To Do It:

You’re going to get really frustrated at first because this isn’t the easiest trick to learn. But, to do them, you must set up like I told you to, and you’re going to have to learn to ollie high enough with your back foot in that awkward position. You just have to pop really hard, kick your heelflip out really hard, and jump really high. Thats really all there is to it. You just have to learn to really push yourself to pop, kick, and jump really high and you’ll get them.

Problems:

1.) I can’t get the full 180 rotation
Just slide your back foot off the tail more, it will decrease your pop but will help you spin your board in the 180 rotation much easier.

2.) I can spin the 180 rotation fine but I can’t get the heel flip rotation
With inward heels you have to kick with all your might, so all I can tell you is kick your heelflip out like never done before, and make sure your jumping HIGH. You can’t have any baby jumps, you have to jump like you are on a trampoline.
Well there are probably more problems that you are going to encounter when you are trying to learn these but all these probably can be fixed just by jumping higher, kicking harder, and popping/scooping harder.
